USERS OF THE WEBSITE HOSTED ON BEHALF OF THE MARIE O’CONNELL FOUNDATION (MOC) ARE REQUIRED TO CAREFULLY READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE WHICH DETAILS THE TERMS ON WHICH THIS WEBSITE IS MADE AVAILABLE FOR USERS. THESE TERMS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FROM TIME TO TIME.

 

1.    PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

1.1    Please note that MOC is committed to the maintaining of the privacy of all website users and endeavours to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Bill to improve reliability of the organisation’s databases and to reduce the risk of data breaches.

1.2    The website administrator may make use of your IP address to assist in the diagnosing of server complications and to assist in the smooth administration of the website.  This will furthermore assist with verification that the user is in fact the owner of the email address and contact information provided.

1.3    The website also uses cookies to save a user’s password, should the user so select, which prevents re-entry of the password details when re-entering password protected areas.

1.4    MOC uses an online form to deal with enquiries, information requests and/or to order products and services.  Contact information, personal information and demographic information is collected to maintain our contact and/or client data base and to contact you when necessary.

Whilst MOC endeavours to secure personal information to the best of its ability MOC will not accept liability should such information be obtained via means beyond the control of MOC and the user indemnifies MOC accordingly.

2.7    In the event of any virus or malicious code being detected on the web site the website, or parts thereof as need be, will be shut down until such time as the virus or malicious code has been eradicated.
